The same ColecoVision game could reach a shelf in a dozen different boxes:
Coleco’s own two designs for the United States, two more set twice over in
English and French for Canada, five from CBS Electronics for Europe and
Australia, and two printed in Argentina under licence. Collectors sort them
into classifications — CBS1, CBS3, Coleco 2, Kenia 2 —
labels nobody ever printed on a box, but the ones a listing means when it calls
a game “the rare one”. Every page below opens with the single tell
that identifies its box, then lists what the museum has catalogued in it.
